Thank you so much for taking interest in my company and seeing what we have to offer the community.

My journey into doula work started with my own birth story. At just 26 weeks pregnant, I went into preterm labor. In that moment, my doula was the first person to get to me, and the only one who could. It had been less than six weeks since I hired her, but she showed up for me in a way I’ll never forget. Her presence brought calm during one of the scariest moments of my life, and I honestly don’t know how I would’ve handled it without her.

That experience stayed with me. It showed me how powerful it is to have someone who knows how to just be there...no judgment, no panic, no pressure. I wanted to be that person for other women, especially for those who feel like they have to do this alone. And sometimes, even when a partner is present, folks don’t always know how to help. As a doula, I support birthing parents while also helping their loved ones find their place in the journey.

As a young Black millennial woman, community is at the heart of everything I do. We grow up leaning on one another, and we’re also very aware of the disparities that impact us. Maternal and infant mortality among Black women isn’t just a statistic to me, it’s personal. Knowing that doulas can help change outcomes and save lives made this work feel bigger than a job. It felt like purpose.

For a long time, I wondered what I was truly called to do, what work would still matter to me even on the hard days. Becoming a certified full-spectrum doula answered that. This work allows me to advocate, educate, and walk alongside families from pregnancy through postpartum, making sure they feel heard, supported, and respected every step of the way.

My background blends health, education, and family support. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise, Sport, and Health Education from Radford University in 2013 and spent over a decade teaching Health, Physical Education, Driver’s Education, and Family Life Education. I later earned my Master’s degree in Human Services with a concentration in Marriage and Family Counseling from Liberty University in 2021. I’ve also worked as an Intensive In-Home Counselor for children and adolescents, which deepened my understanding of how families show up for one another during life’s most vulnerable seasons. At the end of the day, my heart for this work is simple: no one should have to navigate pregnancy, birth, or postpartum feeling unheard or unsupported. It is an honor to serve my community and to hold space for families during one of the most life-changing moments they’ll ever experience.
